BAIC is a long and storied brand in China. It has undergone 58 years of development in the People’s Republic and since then has become one of the largest automotive manufacturers in the area. BAIC Philippines was established in 2014 under the management of Bayan Automotive Industries Corporation (Bayan Auto). In 2023, BAIC Philippines re-emerged under the distributorship of United Asia Automotive Group Incorporated (UAAGI), a major player in the automotive industry with numerous brands under its belt.
BAIC Philippines’ model lineup includes the X7 Grandeza, X55 Verve, B40 Ragnar, B60 Beaumont, and the B80 Wagon.
As of the 2024 Manila International Auto Show, BAIC Philippines offers one trim level for its cars in the country. Their current lineup consists of tough and rugged SUVs that are both stylish and capable.
