Launch
In July 2021, the Ice Cream EV was first unveiled under the Chery brand, wrapped in playful ice cream-themed camouflage and marketed as an SUV. By August of the same year, the QQ Ice Cream was officially introduced as the fourth model in Chery’s QQ series at the Chengdu Auto Show.
Fast forward two years and the JETOUR brand made its debut in the Philippines, bringing with it a lineup of SUVs, along with the Ice Cream EV. Not only is it the smallest and most affordable model in the JETOUR range with a launch price of P699,000, but it’s also one of the most affordable electric vehicles (EV) in the country.
Platform, Chassis and Powertrain
The Ice Cream is a three-door, four-seater electric hatchback. Powering the Ice Cream is a single Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) that can generate 27 hp and 85 Nm of torque driving the rear wheels. This power unit can get the small hatchback up to a maximum speed of 100 km/h. Supplying the electricity to the motor is a 13.9 kWh battery lithium-ion battery pack that can provide a claimed range of 170 km. Charging up the Ice Cream to full capacity takes a total of eight hours from a low charge.
The Ice Cream has a MacPherson independent suspension up front and a three-link non-independent suspension at the rear. 12-inch wheels house disc brakes for the front wheels while drum brakes provide stopping power for the rear wheels.

Technology Features
In terms of features and amenities, the JETOUR Ice Cream has a radio with Bluetooth connectivity. The mini hatchback features a digital instrument cluster which also houses the display for the reversing camera. As for safety features, the Ice Cream has anti-lock brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution, speed-sensing door locks, rear radar, and a tire pressure sensor.
Exterior
The appearance of the JETOUR Ice Cream is simple and discrete. The hatchback is tall with a narrow body allowing it to be compact in length. Up front, the Ice Cream has U-shaped LED daytime running lights with halogen lamps in the middle. Down below, the hatchback has a black grille running the length of the whole bumper with fog light housings at each end.
The rear end of the car is the same story, a simple and clean design that almost replicates some cues from the front end. The taillights have the same U-shaped design as the headlights with a rectangular piece in the middle for the indicators. At the rear bumper are two circular reflectors with the right one housing the reversing lights.
Interior
Inside the Ice Cream is a clean and minimalistic interior which gives the car a chic appeal. The interior from the dashboard, steering wheel, as well as seats, are shaded with a tint of pink, adding a splash of color to the gray seats and light-colored body panels.
Overall, the Ice Cream presents a minimalist interior to go with its modest size, perfectly adequate for short trips around the city.
Safety
Safety features for the Ice Cream include anti-lock brakes, electronic brake force distribution, a reversing camera, rear radar, a seatbelt warning chime, ISOFIX anchors, and a single airbag at the driver’s side. Other features include speed-sensing door locks with a collision-activated unlock feature.
