The Nissan Livina is the brand's entry into the 7-seater MPV segment in the Philippines. It sports the brand's latest iteration of its v-motion design language and the front but retains similar body lines to that of its twin Mitsubishi Xpander. As Nissan and Mitsubishi are in an alliance with one another they share a few similar parts with one another. The Livina is powered by a 1.5-liter gasoline engine that is mated to either a 4-speed automatic or a 5-speed manual gearbox. It is available in three different trim-levels with the E being the only variant to get a manual transmission.
Launch
The Nissan Livina officially launched in the Philippines on September 6, 2022. It was made available with three different trim levels and two transmission options. While the majority of the variants get a 4-speed automatic transmission, only the EL gets a 5-speed manual gearbox. Powering the Livina is a 1.5-liter gasoline engine that produces 103hp and 141 Nm of torque. Like the Xpander it is based upon it sends power exclusively to the front wheels. Most variants also get a 7-inch infotainment system that comes with Bluetooth and smartphone mirroring capabilities.
Platform, Chassis and Powertrain
Powering the Nissan Livina is a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine that produces 103hp and 141 Nm of torque. Transmission options for the Nissan MPV include a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 4-speed automatic. Stopping power comes from disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear. It rides on a MacPherson strut suspension system at the front and a torsion beam setup at the rear. It also comes with a unibody chassis, giving the MPV a smooth ride along with good behavior going over less-than-perfect roads. VL and VE models get 16-inch machine-finished alloy wheels, while the EL models come with 15-inch alloys for the AT and 15-inch steel wheels for the E MT.

Technology Features
In terms of technology, the Nissan Livina in the Philippines packs a Blaupunkt 7-inch touchscreen display that comes with phone mirroring, Bluetooth, AUX-in, and USB connectivity. For its lower variants, it gets a 2-DIN head unit that also comes with Bluetooth, AUX-in, and USB connectivity. As for its climate controls, it comes with a dial-type manual set of controls along with a rear cooler for all models. The VL variant is the only one to get a push start system but all variants except for the E manual get a keyless entry system. The VL model gets access to a 6-speaker sound system (4-speakers+2 tweeters), while the rest of the lineup excluding the E MT gets a 4-speaker sound system. Only the E MT gets a 2-speaker sound system.
Exterior
On the exterior, the Nissan Livina carries the brand's later V-motion grille design which is paired with multi-reflector halogen headlights for all models. Only the VE and VL models get access to daytime running lights along with halogen front fog lamps. As for the rear, all variants come with a combination stop lamp with a signature LED design. The VL model gets access to body-colored bumpers with a silver accent while the rest of the variants get body-colored bumpers with black accents instead. The VL also gets chrome side mirrors with turn signals with auto while the rest get body-colored side mirrors. The VE variant also gets auto-fold as standard. Door handles are chrome for the VL model while the rest come with body-colored handles.
Interior
On the inside, the Nissan Livina retains the same cabin layout as the pre-facelifted Xpander. It does come with 6-way manual adjustable seats for VL and VE variants, however, the EL models only come with 4-way manual adjustability. The VL model gets access to black leather seats, while the VE and EL automatic come with Brown fabric seats. Only the E MT comes with beige fabric seats. The VL models also get a leather-wrapped steering wheel, while the lower variants get urethane. Whichever variant you choose, all will come with a tilt and telescopic steering wheel. The VL and VE also come with audio and hands-free phone controls while the EL models do not get this feature. As for the instrument cluster, the VL gets a color LCD display while the rest come with a mono-tone LCD.
Safety
In terms of safety features, the Nissan Living in the Philippines as standard comes with dual front airbags, ISOFIX and tether anchor points, and a high mount stop lamp. The VE and VL variants get access to hill start assist, a reverse camera, vehicle dynamic control, traction control, and rear parking sensors. All variants also come with an alarm system with an immobilizer, with only the EL MT not available with the alarm system.
