The 2025 Suzuki Dzire is a refined and practical subcompact sedan that blends efficiency, comfort, and a touch of elegance. Launch
Originally launched by Suzuki Philippines in April 2013 as the Swift Dzire, this mini subcompact sedan is now known simply as Suzuki Dzire. It begs to turn away from having the same nameplate as its hatchback counterpart and is currently on its fourth-generation model.
The current Dzire we have on the market officially made its launch at the 2025 Manila International Auto Show on April 11, 2025. This time, the all-new Dzire came with a heavily revised design, a new 12V hybrid system, and a new interior.
Platform, Chassis and Powertrain
Underpinning the Dzire is the HEARTECT platform, which offers a fine balance between low weight and high rigidity. This not only improves fuel efficiency but also enhances safety and handling. Powering the sedan is a 1.2-liter Z12E three-cylinder engine, which produces up to 80 hp and 113 Nm of torque. The sole transmission option for the Dzire is a Continuously Variable Transmission or a CVT.
Technology Features
Suzuki has equipped the Dzire with a suite of modern technologies that enhance both convenience and connectivity. At its core is a touchscreen infotainment system—available in 7-inch or 9-inch configurations depending on the variant—which supports Bluetooth connectivity, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay for seamless smartphone integration. Drivers also benefit from features like cruise control and automatic headlamps with "Follow Me Home" and "Lead Me to Vehicle" functions. A rearview camera improves rear visibility during parking.
Exterior
The exterior of the Dzire presents a clean and contemporary design that balances elegance with sportiness. Measuring 3,995 mm in length, 1,735 mm in width, and 1,525 mm in height, the Dzire has a confident road presence, further emphasized by its 2,450 mm wheelbase. At the front, LED headlamps paired with daytime running lights lend a sharp and modern look, while the rear features multi-LED reflector combination lamps. Depending on the trim level, it rides on either 14-inch steel wheels with full wheel caps or stylish 15-inch polished alloy wheels. Chrome detailing on the beltline, body-colored door handles, and a shark fin antenna round out the Dzire’s refined exterior touches.
Interior
Inside, the Dzire offers a comfortable and functional cabin space designed for everyday usability. Featuring cream and black colored plastics, the Dzire’s interior appears spacious and airy. It seats five passengers, featuring well-cushioned fabric seats and a driver’s seat that can be adjusted for height. Automatic air conditioning ensures consistent comfort across all conditions, and rear vents provide cooling for backseat occupants. The layout is intuitive, with easy-to-reach controls and a center console that houses the infotainment screen. Steering wheel-mounted buttons allow for hands-free audio and call management. Other conveniences include power windows, keyless push start, and ample storage compartments, including bottle and cup holders throughout the cabin.
Safety
Safety has been thoughtfully integrated into the Dzire's design. Dual front SRS airbags are standard across all variants, while higher trims offer additional side and curtain airbags. The vehicle features an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist, ensuring shorter and more controlled stopping distances in emergencies. Driving stability is further enhanced by the inclusion of the Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and Hill Hold Control, which are especially useful on steep inclines. For child protection, ISOFIX anchors and childproof rear door locks are standard. Parking is made easier and safer with rear sensors and a reverse camera, providing additional confidence in tight spaces.
