Fuel economy is quite impressive but it depends on your driving habit. I mostly drive from house to work vice versa 6 days a week, I get around 10-12km/L. but on the highway it gets better at around 17-19km/L, Handling is impressive and handles twisty quite very well and if you need power, the Avanza can give it to you. I drove for a few times of about 12hrs from Batangas going to Misibis Albay with stops along the way w/o even turning the engine off. My Avanza just turn 1 year old last May 2023 and so far with no problem or whatsoever my only complain is the headlight. oncoming vehicles always thought that i am on high beam even though it was in low. ,

Fuel economy is just as normal as any cars. I mostly drive in the city for about 6/7 days a week. I get around 8-12kph/L. Handling is alright very maneuverable and light. I drove for about 4-5hrs straight because of how comfy it was and take note, it was at the Philippine's worst highway, the Samar-Leyte highway.
