For those looking to sell their used car and engage with private buyers over a period of time to get the highest price.
There are numerous factors which determine the value of your car from the make, model and year to the condition, popularity of the vehicle and whether you have modifications.
Certain makes and models are highly desirable in the used car market and are easy for dealers to sell, examples would include Toyota and Mitsubishi SUVs. Dealers also like to buy used cars that are usually no older than 7 years old, but do accept older cars in good condition.
This is a simple one, the lower the mileage the better value you will get, as this shows general use and wear and tear on the vehicle.
How well has the car been looked after, how regular has it been serviced, does it have any scratches, what’s the quality of the interior and has it got any history of serious damage. These are some of the things that can affect the condition and your valuation.
Usually cars in their stock condition are what dealers are looking to buy as it gives them a larger audience to sell to, and that’s because when you modify your car you are changing it to your own tastes, not everyone has your taste, therefore modifying your car can lower it’s value. However, there are some modifications like upgrading your infotainment system or adding improved tires or alloy wheels, which can add value to your car.
Having historical service documentation can really help push the vehicle sale over the line, as it gives a certain level of peace of mind to the buyer. Standard paper work that you need to actually sell your vehicle are the official receipt and certificate of registration.
We are the largest car buying marketplace in the Philippines, with over 3 million visits a month, and over 1 million unique visitors per month, so we can put your car in front of the largest car buying audience in the country. We also have more options than anywhere else to sell your car;
There are some critical documents required, so that you can sell your car smoothly, which are listed below;
Certificate of registration (CR)This is the official document issued by the Land Transportation Office (LTO), stating that the vehicle is registered, free from police reports and other unpaid fines. With the CR, your buyer would know that your car is 'clean.'
Official receipt of registration (OR) The OR verifies the CR. Without this receipt, your car's registration would become instantly questionable, as the OR comes after you enlist your car under the LTO.
Notarized deed of sale This sheet of paper states that the transaction and turnover of the vehicle has been agreed by both you and your buyer. Additionally, it also secures the information of the vehicle, such as the make, variant, year model, body type, engine number, chassis serial number, plate number, among others. What makes the deed of sale valid is if it has been notarized by a lawyer.
The main difference is with selling to one dealer, you narrow your options on how much you can sell your car for, as you will be negotiating around that one price the dealer provided. With AutoDeal you are firstly in control of whether you sell your car through our network of dealers bidding on your vehicle or placing a private ad on our marketplace. Either option enables you to get the best price for the car.
If you want to simply sell your car quickly, then the best option is to put your vehicle through our Quick Sell program, which enables dealers to bid on your vehicle, which usually happens within 48 hours, and then all you have to do is choose the best offer! View our Quick sell program.
Yes! Go to our trade-in program, and provide your car details and tell us which new car you are interested in buying. Simultaneously we will get you bids on the car you are selling from our network of used car dealers, and get you quotes from our network of new car dealers. Our goal is to get you the best price for the vehicle you're selling and get the best deal on your new car.
This is possible through our Quick sell program, as a good number of our dealer network are willing to pay off the balance of your loan, the amount depends on the value of your car compared to the loan amount left to pay off.
To stand out from the rest you need to start by giving your car a professional exterior and interior clean, so it looks presentable and enticing when you take pictures. Take all exterior angles of the car, and interior images, making sure you have taken close up shots of the dashboard and other key features. You can also be transparent and take a picture of your mileage clock and service book. Ideally you should have 10-20 good quality images to give yourself the best chance of selling your car.
Having a car in good condition and clean with excellent images will benefit you whether you are selling it to dealers or privately, helping you get the best price for your car.
With Autodeal you can state if the warranty is still applicable and provide the status of your LTO registration. Finally provide a short description of the vehicle, which highlights points outside of the vehicle specs like is it a 1st owner car, low mileage, any newly added parts like tires or new air-conditioning.
With our Trade-in and Quick sell programs we work with partner dealers, which AutoDeal works with on a daily basis, which brings a level of trust to the process. When you add your car to our Quick sell or trade-in program we do not reveal your personal details until you have decided on which dealer to transact with.
