AC Motors (Ayala Corporation Motors), one of the Philippines’ largest automotive groups, has announced its extended partnership with AutoDeal for the year 2020. Under the stewardship of AC Industrials, Ayala’s industrial technologies group, AC Motors carries six global automotive and motorcycle brands and covers a nationwide footprint of over 100 owned and managed locations.
The entity is responsible for the distribution and sale of many automotive household names such as Honda, Isuzu, Kia, Volkswagen, and KTM to Philippine shores. The company also has up and coming brands like Maxus joining the fray with trucks and vans comprising the product line.
The two industry names have been long-standing partners since AC Industrials relaunched Volkswagen to the country in 2013. The German automaker has been one of AutoDeal’s partner brands since the digital marketplace’s inception in 2014. Honda and Isuzu’s dealerships are also part of AutoDeal’s wide range of partner dealers across the Philippines.
AC Industrials’ newly-acquired brands such as South Korean automotive manufacturer, Kia, and Chinese vehicle brand, Maxus, teamed up with AutoDeal in 2020. Meanwhile, the Austrian motorcycle manufacturer, KTM, recently joined MotoDeal, AutoDeal’s platform for motorcycles.
“We, at Kia Philippines, place much value in this new partnership with AutoDeal as it allows us to reach a wider audience and fulfill our Promise to Care for the Filipino car buyers. This platform is one of the fastest developing and most practical in the vehicle purchasing journey as more people can access wherever they are. Especially in these changing times, AutoDeal provides our customers a convenient touchpoint for engaging our brand.”, shared Manny Aligada, President of Kia Philippines.
“We are pleased also that Kia's garnering the 3rd highest spot in the brand inquiry category since the partnership was forged last March is proof of the online Filipino consumers’ acceptance of the Kia brand.”, added Aligada
Digitization of car buying
AutoDeal prepares to digitize the whole car buying process to further enhance the consumer’s browsing experience with the introduction of its new innovative features – one of which is its online car buying component. It allows customers, not just to browse through car reviews, send inquiries to multiple dealerships, book a test drive, or compare vehicle prices, but to purchase a car through AutoDeal’s partner dealerships.
With this new website feature, we aim to provide our customers with a fully digital option to purchase a vehicle complete with online payment methods for a safer, faster, and more convenient and transparent transaction. On the business side, our partners will be able to accommodate more customers with serious buying intent on the AutoDeal platform.
Brands under AC Industrials are set to join this initiative to digitize its sales and marketing operations, making it possible to reach and serve more customers even without setting foot inside a dealership. AutoDeal’s partnership promises a quick and convenient way for consumers to purchase a vehicle under AC industrials’ banner.
The future of purchasing vehicles
Both partners are leveraging the growth and popularity of on-demand services online. AutoDeal and AC Industrials’ partnership seeks to point customers to various Ayala brands.
Last year, we’ve seen a shift in consumers’ activities, which signals a significant change in their buying behavior. We can’t deny the growth and popularity of on-demand services that are becoming more existent in our daily lives. On our end, we aim to bring our customers and partners solutions of this nature that are not just smart and innovative but are quick and easy as well.
Convenience is quickly becoming a part of the consumer experience, with various technologies taking root in our day to day lives. On the matter, Franks had this to add, “Accessibility is highly important with more consumers using their smartphones to navigate their daily lives. We, in the tech and automotive space, would like to bring accessible products designed to meet our customer’s and partners’ needs.”
