To kickoff this year, Volkswagen introduced the new Jetta. Here’s a quick rundown of what you’ll be getting with this VW sedan.
Two new variants
This year, you can get the Volkswagen Jetta in two new variants – the Comfortline and the Trendline. The Comfortline is the top grade variant. It uses a 2.0 Turbo Common Rail Direct Injection 4-cylinder diesel engine to give you 138 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque. This is then mated to a 6-speed DSG transmission.
For the Trendline variant, expect a 1.5 TSI engine with 7-speeed DSG transmission to provide a desirable 157 horsepower and 240 Nm of torque.
Color & Design
In addition to the new variants, the new Volkswagen Jetta is now more appealing to the eyes thanks to its new shoes and distinct exterior upgrade.
The new Volkswagen Jetta Comfortline is now available with a “Queensland” alloy wheels that measures 17.” The Trendline, on the other hand, comes with “Navara” wheels which is available in 16.”
Other notable exterior elements are the re-designed front fog lamps. The Jetta also looks more distinct with its aesthetically pleasing upgrade on the bumpers and headlights and tail lamps.
You also have 5 color options for a more personal touch of the Jetta. You can get it in Pure White, Deep Black Pearl, Blue Silk Metallic, Ruby Red Metallic, and the Platinum Grey Metallic (available onlu in the Comfortline).
Upgraded safety features
Volkswagen also loaded the Jetta with better drive and safety features. They have integrated airbags in the driver, passenger, side, and head curtain. Also, expect a more comfortable and memorable drive from the new Jetta as the German car maker also included Cruise Control, Hill Hold Control, Electronic Stabilisation Program (ESP) with Comfort Brake Assistant. The Jetta is also fitted with an Antilock Brake System (ABS), Electronic Differential Lock, Anti Slip Regulation.
Entertainment Features
So with power and safety features, what about your entertainment? The new Volkswagen Jetta’s infotainment system includes a 5” touchscreen, radio, CD, MP3, USB, Aux-in and Bluetooth.
With an attractive price of P1,498,000 for the Comfortline and P1,378,000 for the Trendline, we are excited to see more of this Volkswagen beauty plying the roads of Metro Manila.
