It seems that every year, trucks get more exciting, and the 2024 D-MAX is no exception. Ever since it hit the Philippine market in 2021, the Isuzu D-MAX has made a name for itself as a sturdy and capable truck. The third-generation model came with improved safety features and a new design on Isuzu's Dynamic Drive Platform.
This year, it looks like Isuzu didn’t hold back, as it has bestowed the D-MAX with tons of upgrades. New features have been added, such as a new grille and advanced tech options, including wireless charging and a digital video recorder. But enough with the bits and pieces; we’ve dug into what’s new and found five things that stand out and might make you seriously think about getting one.
Tough and stylish exterior
Starting the list with the rugged exterior, the latest D-MAX sports a new look with a three-dimensional front grille finished in gun-metal and black chrome that really stands out. The LED headlamps now come with redesigned Daytime Running Lights that make driving safer by improving how well you can see and be seen. The truck is also made to cut through the air better, thanks to the new fog lamps and air curtains, which boost your mileage by reducing air drag.
The D-MAX also features 18-inch All-Terrain Alloy Wheels in a Matte Dark Gray Metallic finish, which not only look great but are built and added to handle rugged roads without ruining your car. At the back, you'll notice the Triple-wing LED rear combination lamps that also make sure your truck is visible no matter where you are.
Comfortable interior
As soon as you set foot inside, you will feel the difference. Inside the D-MAX, you're greeted with a fresh digital pattern "Miura" design that brings a modern and also fine feel to the cabin. Other than looking good, the interior is also filled with features that add to the passengers' comfort and convenience, such as a wireless charger to keep your devices powered up and second-row air conditioning vents that make sure everyone stays cool.
To top it all off, the truck offers a choice between a 10.1-inch and a 9-inch infotainment system, both equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Next-level safety features
You need not worry about safety when it comes to the latest Isuzu D-MAX. The new D-MAX now comes with Isuzu's updated Advanced Driver Assist System (ADAS) and a new Gen4 Smart Duo Cam that offers better visibility, which helps you stay aware of your surroundings and avoid potential accidents.
The 360-degree Around View Monitor and new Rear Cross Traffic Brake (RCTB) work like extra sets of eyes, helping you spot obstacles and dangers around the vehicle. For added peace of mind, the D-MAX includes a first-in-class built-in Digital Video Recorder.
Built for Off-road adventures
Thrill seekers and adrenaline rush lovers, rise! For those who crave the "rush," the new Isuzu D-MAX is ready to impress with its off-road capabilities. The new Rear Differential Lock system and Rough Terrain Mode mean this truck is ready for almost any type of road, especially rough ones. It's made to drive through vertical inclines and tricky sides of the road without breaking a sweat.
What's more, with a suspension system made for durability and comfort, the truck offers a ride quality that few can match, making every off-road adventure possible while also enjoyable.
Engine power and efficiency
Under the hood, the D-MAX boasts a 4JJ3-TCX Blue Power engine with 190 hp and 450 Nm of torque, providing a generous amount of power for any task. The engine is matched with a durable chassis and advanced suspension that promise long-term reliability and consistent performance.
On top of all these, you don’t need to worry about fuel costs as the vehicle is made to maximize every liter of fuel, making it both powerful and economical. So, yes, you can enjoy fewer stops at the gas station and more time on the road.
Every update adds a bit more, but Isuzu's improvements are surprisingly good. Trucks tend to improve as they age, but Isuzu takes it to another level. If you want to see more Isuzu models, feel free to head over to AutoDeal and get a quote for the model you prefer.
