6-cheapest sedans
Contents

If you are in the market for an affordable sedan, then you are spoiled for choice in the Philippine market. If however, you are working on a much tighter budget, your options become slimmer. With that in mind, we have created a quick list of sedans that can fit within a tight budget but still offers a good amount of features for a comfortable mode of transportation. Each one comes with its own pros and cons and brings something unique to the table, with that said, this list is in no particular order.

Suzuki Dzire GL+ AGS

Another affordable option from the Japanese brand that specializes in making compact vehicles is the Suzuki Dzire. It is one of the few models within the P750,000 that can be had with an automatic transmission. It is important to note that its entire model range fits within the set budget, offering interested buyers more options when it comes to choosing which variant fits them the best. On top of this, the sedan comes with a 7-inch touchscreen that supports offline navigation. It is also powered by a 1.2-liter gasoline engine that produces 82 hp and 113 Nm of torque. If you want an affordable and competitively priced sedan that comes feature-packed then the Suzuki Dzire and all of its variants should definitely be on your shortlist.

MG 5 inline

A newcomer to the segment and one of the larger vehicles you can get within a budget of P750,000 is the MG 5. It comes powered by a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine that makes 112 hp and 150 Nm of torque. This makes the sedan one of the more powerful options you can get within its price bracket. It also comes standard with an 8-inch infotainment system that comes with a rearview camera as well. If space is what you are looking for then the MG 5 should definitely be on your shortlist as it offers a lot without breaking the bank.

Toyota Vios XLE

Last but definitely not the least is the Toyota Vios in its J variant. While it doesn’t have much in the way of features, it does come with the basics needed for getting from point A to point B. It comes with a frugal 1.3-liter gasoline engine as well as a 5-speed manual transmission. It produces a healthy 97 hp and 123 Nm of torque. It comes with a 2-DIN head unit that comes with CD/MP3 with Bluetooth, USB, and Aux connectivity. The Toyota Vios is ideal for those who want a back to basics car that just works and works well.

Changan Alsvin

The Changan Alsvin is an affordable sedan that comes with just enough features for the daily drive. At its base trim, the Changan Alsvin features a 1.4-liter gasoline engine with a manual transmission. If you're willing to go higher in price, the model will get a bump in displacement and a five-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). As a basic car, it doesn't have the most flare, but it does present a respectable package overall.

Haima M3

The Haima M3 is a relatively unknown sedan in the market, and though it may share its name with higher-end models, there is no escaping the fact that it is a basic package priced well under P750,000. Made to be robust, simple, and easy to maintain, the affordable sedan features just enough features to keep you on the road. As a value proposition, you can get an extremely basic model for daily driving.

Geely Emgrand

With this model, we're imploring you to extend your budget ever so slightly because for the small extension, you get a well-built sedan with a nice interior, a good 1.5-liter engine, and also a chassis that is solid to drive. Of course, if you want more features, there are other variants that will give you a lot more to play with on your drive. However, at the base trim, you get a 1.5-liter mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The Emgrand is not so grand at this trim but against other cars in its class, it does a lot of things well.
