It’s an open secret that fuel economy is one of the things that car buyers consider when shopping for a brand new vehicle. With the kind of traffic we experience every day, owning a fuel efficient transporter is a must.
Subaru is one of the many auto manufacturers that adheres the call of producing fuel efficient vehicles; allowing you to have fun behind the wheel while getting the most out of every drop. With this, we listed down some of Subaru’s most fuel efficient models that you can buy in the Philippines today. Of note, the figures we use on this article are based from the U.S. Department of Energy.
Subaru Outback (Combined fuel economy rating 10.5 km/l)
If you want to explore the great outdoors, the Outback is your perfect companion. The 2.5i-S variant is capable of producing 175 hp and 235 Nm of torque. The exterior of the vehicle features an aggressive front along with muscular wheel arches and a sporty streamlined look. Built for the urban jungle, the XV aims to attract customers who constantly drive through the metro. Despite being bigger and taller, the XV drives like a car. It can sit up to 5 occupants along with a decent interior and cargo space. In terms of fuel economy, the XV delivers 9.2 km/l on the city and 12 km/l on the highway.

It comes with the Subaru Intelligent Drive which offers two functions – Intelligent and Sport. The former gives you smooth acceleration and more efficient driving mode while the latter delivers a more exciting drive experience that could satisfy the urge of spirited drivers. However, the U.S. Department of Energy has yet to release the fuel economy rating of the Levorg. But, Subaru Ph said that it can give you up to 12 km/l.
