Fuel prices are in constant limbo changes happening almost every week, with that in mind motorists are searching for vehicles that can go the extra mile both literally and figuratively in terms of fuel economy. To help motorists find the right car for them, Isuzu Philippines recently set up a one-full tank challenge for its passenger lineup of vehicles which includes the Isuzu D-MAX and the Isuzu mu-X. While these vehicles are already fuel efficient as it is, the Japanese automaker was able to push their efficiency further by posting triple-digit numbers with their recent test which brought these two vehicles from Subic to Ilocos and then to Bicol and back to their point of origin which was Isuzu Alabang. This test was also further verified by the Automobile Association of the Philippines.
Curious to find out what their numbers are? Well, here they are, the Isuzu D-MAX, the brand’s popular pickup truck equipped with the 3.0-liter turbo diesel engine was able to get a maximum total mileage of 1,564 kilometers on just one full tank with an average of 20.58km/L. Its SUV counterpart the Isuzu mu-X, on the other hand, was able to go further equipped with the same engine. It was able to do a maximum total mileage of 1,675 kilometers with an average of 20.94km/L. These are stellar numbers, especially for those looking for their next SUV or pickup truck. This goes to show that Isuzu is still holding strong as one of the brands in the country with the most fuel-efficient lineup of vehicles. Equipped with the 4JJ3 Blue Power engines, these two vehicles give you not just durability and reliability but excellent fuel economy with every drive.
Owner reviews
But there is more to these vehicles than just excellent maximum mileage fuel economy figures as these Isuzu owners have more to say about the brand’s popular pickup truck and SUV based on the reviews they have sent to us.
We have this long-term owner’s review from Rizalino Emejas who is happy with their purchase of an Isuzu D-MAX LS-A AT giving it a solid 5-stars all around. They state that the Isuzu pickup truck is generally a great all-around performer with its new features being something most will experience and enjoy. They also state that it's worth it to buy the D-MAX for what it offers.
Here is another owner review from a recent anonymous buyer who recently bought their Isuzu D-MAX LS-A AT. In the few words they mentioned, it seems like they are loving their new pickup truck citing its reliability and the good value for money that it offers.
The same can also be said about the D-MAX’s SUV sibling the Isuzu mu-X with its owner reviews. We have this review from Uldarico Sol who says that the mu-X 3.0 LS-A AT has given them the comfort they need each time they travel. He cites the comfortable suspension and the cool air conditioning system. He finishes by stating that the SUV is perfect for a family getaway and long-drive bonding.
Here is another honest review from an anonymous buyer who bought an Isuzu mu-X 3.0 LS-A and thought their recent purchase was awesome. Their criticism was that the ride comfort could have been somewhat compromised by the large 20-inch wheels. Despite this, however, they state that they were overall very satisfied with their purchase. They even thought that Isuzu put some magic into the 3.0-liter motor citing its great highway fuel efficiency.
With great fuel efficiency figures aside, it seems that many are enjoying the purchase of their Isuzu vehicle. It ticks all the right boxes for those looking for a reliable workhorse pickup truck and for those looking for a well-equipped family vehicle that will gladly get you from point A to point B without any fuss. You really can’t go wrong with these two and their excellent fuel efficiency figures are just the icing on the cake.
