This 2024, the Lynk & Co lineup is populated by the three crossovers, the 01 PHEV, the 05, and the 06. Now, Lynk & Co is on the more upscale side of things when it comes to cars, offering a luxurious experience along with lots of tech in its vehicle lineup. This experience, of course, comes with a price of P2,338,000 for the 01 PHEV, and P2,748,000 for the 05. The brand’s third offering, the 06, is more affordable, starting at a net cash price of P1,299,000 with the Hyper Core+ variant and topping at P1,598,000 for the top-of-the-line Hyper Halo variant.
Now, does the lower price mean the 06 provides less? A deep look at the spec sheet and a quick tour inside the 06 says otherwise. With that said, here’s what you can expect from the 06, the most accessible crossover from the Lynk & Co trio.
A unique design
Starting with the exterior, the 06 carries the distinct Lynk & Co design language it shares with the 01 and 05. Even though it might look similar to its stablemates. Plus, because Lynk & Co’s design is so unique, the 06 won’t be mistaken for any of its rival crossovers on the road.
The 06 doesn't overdo it when it comes to standing out from the crowd. It features clean body lines, just the right amount of black cladding, and stylish five-spoke alloys that earn it plenty of style points. With the addition of functional twin tailpipes, the 06 commands a respectable presence. In a crossover segment packed with options from various brands, making a strong impression is crucial, and the 06 does just that.
Turbo power
Under the hood, the Lynk & Co 06 features a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 178 hp and 290 Nm of torque, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. While the power isn’t excessive, it’s more than adequate given the 06’s size.
Power is sent to the front wheels only via the seven-speed DCT. While it provides above-average performance for its class, don't expect sports car-like handling. The extra power will be beneficial on winding roads and for overtaking maneuvers. Although the 06 may not be as sporty or quick as the 05 or the 01, it still offers a decent amount of performance that won’t disappoint you.
An upscale interior and tons of tech
Lynk & Co’s aim is to provide a new premium experience for its customers through the quality of its vehicles. As such, the interior of its cars is designed to carry that philosophy. The 06’s interior exudes a premium feel with its minimalist controls and buttons, enhancing its upscale appeal.
Thanks to the minimalist design, the cabin layout is unconventional and may take some time to get used to. Despite its unique design, the 06’s interior is likely to be a refreshing change for drivers and passengers.
On the other hand, the cabin is spacious, with plenty of storage compartments. Both the front and rear seats are well-bolstered, and Lynk & Co offers customers a choice between dark or light-colored upholstery.
As for tech features, the 06 comes equipped with a large 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a panoramic view camera, as well as advanced driver aids like adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning, and lane change assistance. Standard features available across the 06 line include a 360-degree camera, six airbags, and an ESP 9.3 vehicle stability control system.
To reiterate, the Lynk & Co 06 line starts at P1,299,000 cash price and P1,399,000 MSRP with the Hyper Core + and tops out at P1,598,000 for the Hyper Halo variant. So, what do you get in the least expensive Lynk & Co lineup? You get a premium car at an accessible price, that’s for sure.
