The Chinese zodiac is a big part of Chinese culture, and their signs have been used for over 2000 years as a way of dating years in a 12-year cycle of the Chinese calendar. The zodiac is calculated by a cycle of sixty years in which each animal signifies a different year. These animals play a huge role in Chinese stories and folklore, and have different personality traits. It’s such an important factor that many people dictate their choices and plans based on the predictions and superstitions described in the Chinese Zodiac.
With Chinese New Year around the corner, here at AutoDeal, we’ve decided to make predictions of our own. We’ve come up with a fun and interesting list for those interested in knowing what type of car would best fit your Chinese zodiac sign. We’ve given each of the 12 animals a vehicle that best suits their personality traits, and we’re hoping that our predictions help determine what type of vehicle is a true match for you.
The Rat
Quick-witted, smart, charming, and persuasive. Sounds like the traits of an extremely good salesman or businessman. Adaptable and popular in social circles, the rat can also make the most of a bad situation. Compact hatchbacks would be the go to vehicle for the Rat.
The Ox
Patient, kind, stubborn, and conservative. The Ox is huge in size, but also big in leadership and with a strong devotion to work. The Ox is also simple and honest, being one of the most straightforward of all the signs. The midsize pickup is perfect for the Ox.
The Tiger
Authoritative, emotional, courageous, and intense. Tigers are often very independent and powerful, winning over the trust of others easily. Tigers are also known to think highly of their own accomplishments. A supercar is befitting of the Tiger.
The Rabbit
Popular, compassionate, and sincere. The Rabbit represents tenderness and grace, avoiding confrontation and would rather make friends than enemies. Rabbits work quickly, efficiently, and do not anger easily. Any subcompact sedan will be fitting of the Rabbit.
The Dragon
Energetic, fearless, warm-hearted, and charismatic. Dragons appreciate a challenge and hate hypocrisy and gossip. Dragons are generally excitable, intellectual, and very lively. They also have strict morals and can easily tell right from wrong. Any crossover would be perfect for the Dragon.
The Snake
Charming, gregarious, introverted, generous, and smart. Despite most thinking that the snake is deceiving, it is also a symbol of wisdom and wit. The Snake is humorous, and also gifted with creativity. The MPV would fit the Snake very well.
The Horse

Mild-mannered, shy, kind, and peace-loving. They also have a fondness for quiet living. Being gentle, wide, and compassionate are key traits of the Sheep. They are willing to take good care of others and are economical in their daily lives. Any subcompact hatchback would make the Sheep proud.
The Monkey
Fun, energetic, and active. Monkeys are usually intelligent in their career and wealth. They also possess a degree of flexibility and are full of life. They usually enjoy their success and sometimes look down upon others. Small two seater sports cars would be our pick for the Monkey.
