Audi Philippines brings in the all-new 2020 Audi Q3 at the South Court Power Plant Mall. The all-new Q3 is a crossover SUV that features ridged surfaces and sharp edges to accent its newer sportier look further.
Design-wise, the 2020 Audi Q3 features a wide octagonal single-frame grille flanked either side by LED headlights. Other highlights include a sharp shoulder line that follows the contours of the wheel arches, coupled with the new, more-aggressive headlight and taillight designs. The overall look has a more athletic stance compared to the previous generation model’s softer design.
The vehicle has grown in length. It is now 4,484 mm which represents a growth in length by 96mm than its older model. The width has also grown by 18mm or to 1,849mm. One place where the vehicle hasn’t grown is the height. It comes in at 5mm shorter than the previous model. But thanks to the vehicle being longer and wider than before it now has a more spacious interior. This is also due to the Q3’s wheelbase being extended by 77mm bringing its wheelbase to 2,680mm
In its second-generation form, the Audi Q3 appears not only visually more confident but is also roomier and more versatile. It has great all-around talents
Benedicto continues on by saying that the introduction of the vehicle will strengthen the brand’s position in the luxury SUV segment in the market. He also states that he is excited to have the new model in the local lineup.
The interior has gotten a couple of new upgrades. The all-new Q3 now features the Audi Virtual Cockpit as well as a new 10.1-inch MMI touch display which is compatible with Android Auto and Apple Carplay.
Moving on to the luggage capacity, the Q3 has plenty of it. It has a total capacity of 675-liters of space. These figures make it have the largest cargo space in its segment. More space can be had when the backseats are folded down. From 675-liters space grows to 1,525-liters more than double of its original capacity. For convenience, the vehicle also comes with a power tailgate. This gives the driver easier access to the luggage compartment. The power tailgate is also paired with a kick to close or open function that adds to the convenience.
At the heart of the all-new Q3 is a 1.4-liter turbocharged gasoline engine. The small-displacement engine pushes out 150 hp and 220 Nm of torque. The power plant can only be had with a 7-speed S-Tronic dual-clutch transmission. The engine and transmission combo allows the vehicle to hit 0-100 in 8.7 seconds. The vehicle is electronic-limited to a top speed of 220 km/h.
For safety, the Q3 comes with an array of driver safety features such as electronic stability control, electromechanical power steering, hold assist, hill descent control, park assist with parking aid, and a rearview camera. All of these features plus a rigid body give the vehicle a 5-start Euro NCAP safety rating.
The Audi Q3 comes in with a P3,390,000 price tag for the lone variant available.
