General Motors has just launched the 2021 Chevrolet Spark in South Korea. This marks the 4th model year of the fourth-generation of the vehicle as it entered the market in 2016. The 2021 vehicle motor enters the market with several markets including two new range-topping editions with more exclusive and highly customizable styling.
These two new variants consist of the Red Pick and the My Fit editions. Both of these variants are based on the Premier trim-level of the Chevrolet Spark, however, these come with more appearance enhancements when compared to the standard vehicle. These new enhancements give the small hatchback more emphasis to its sporty character as well as gives customers options to customize the vehicle according to their taste. Through the ease of customization Chevrolet aims to increase the vehicle’s attractiveness as well as improve its competitiveness in the market
Exterior wise the 2021 Spark still carries the same design that was introduced with the model for its 2019 facelift. The Red Pick and My Fit editions build upon this design by adopting a darkened overall finish and adding distinctive details to the vehicle. These new details include a black Chevrolet bowtie badge as well as black grille edges, blacked-out side view mirror, as well as blacked-out 16-inch, allow wheels.
The updated small hatchback also now comes with updated color options coming in with 10 different body colors including two new shades that are named Wonderland Blue and Sunset Orange. The 2021 Spark also comes with a two-tone option as well which combines the selected base color with a black roof.
Similar to what we have here in the Philippines, the Chevrolet Spark is powered by a 1.4-liter naturally aspirated engine that makes 98hp and 127 Nm of torque. It still can be had with either a 5-speed manual or a CVT. Interior wise, however, the updated 2021 Chevrolet Spark still has the same familiar interior layout and amenities. There is no news yet if Chevrolet Philippines will be bringing in the updated version of the small hatchback into the country.
