Initially making its debut in July of 2020 as a concept car, the Nissan Magnite has officially launched making it the smallest vehicle that the Japanese brand has to offer in its global lineup. With its small form factor, the all-new vehicle will slot under the likes of the Nissan Juke and Nissan Kicks depending on the market. As the crossover was built in India and first showcased there as well, it will be the first country to include it in Nissan’s local lineup. The Magnite was designed to suit the unique requirements of customers for the Indian market. It comes with a bold exterior, roomy interior, a powerful turbocharged gasoline engine, and advanced safety features that definitely make the vehicle worth its price.
Exterior
On the outside, the Magnite comes with a fresh design that comes with a large grille at the front flank on either side by a unique set of headlamps. It comes with an all-LED front light package that includes L-shaped daytime running lights that sit below its slim and stylish LED headlamps. Together with its large grille and large Nissan logo, these design cues help give the subcompact crossover an SUV-like appeal. The Magnite also comes with 205mm of ground clearance to match its high riding looks.
Interior
On the inside, the Nissan Magnite comes with a spacious cabin that includes a high seating position and wide shoulder space between the drive and front passenger. Aside from this rear passengers can also expect to enjoy great knee room at the rear along with air vents to help keep them cool. In terms of interior technology, the Magnite comes with an 8-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities. It also comes with a first in its class 7-inch thin-film-transistor instrument screen that helps give the vehicle a premium feel. A 360-degree camera is also present in the vehicle putting it on par with the rest of its competitors
Power
Under the hood, the Nissan Magnite comes powered by an all-new 1.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine. The Japanese brand has yet to release the official specifications for the motor, however, Nissan has stated that it will be one of the most powerful engines in its class.
There is no official word from Nissan Philippines if it will be bringing it into the country. The Magnite is expected to hit the India market in the first half of 2021 with the other markets to follow soon after. With its specifications, the all-new crossover could be well suited for the Philippine market as it ticks the right boxes for those looking to get a compact high riding vehicle.
