J.D. Power is one of the leading automotive awarding bodies that recognize stellar vehicles based on consumer data collected throughout a product’s lifespan. Based in the United States, J.D. Power awards the beautiful Mazda CX-30 with the U.S. ALG Residual Value award in the subcompact utility category.
The ALG Residual Value award recognizes outstanding vehicles that are forecasted by ALG’s proprietary model. Cars that hold the highest percentage of their Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) after three years are in the running for the award. Residual value is also considered resale value to some, and it also is a key indicator of an automaker’s success and the desirability level of the vehicles the brand churns out.
“Mazda has a holistic approach to vehicle development that prioritizes safety, reliability, driving dynamics, and beautiful design. We are pleased the CX-30 earned the 2022 U.S. ALG Residual Value award for the subcompact utility category. Our customers can trust their investment in a Mazda vehicle to get them confidently to their destinations while retaining more of its value at lease-end.”
Careful analysis of used vehicles’ performance over prior year models, brand outlook, and competitiveness were all considered when choosing the award winner. ALG’s forecast model utilizes a wide variety of macros, industry, segment, and vehicle factors to predict a vehicle’s future value.
Just looking at the Mazda CX-30, and you know that it is a crossover to gawk at endlessly. We don’t see the model looking old anytime soon, or in the near future. The variants that we have in the Philippines are all equipped well with technologies that will definitely be part of the automotive technology ecosystem for years to come, plus the model uses Mazda’s tried and trie SkyActiv-G engine technology that promises power and efficiency while remaining a joy to drive. The award makes sense for the CX-30, and sleek styling is the icing on the cake for this crossover.
