MG Philippines recently shared on their Facebook page the pending launch and official photos of the brand’s newest crossover the MG One. The new vehicle made its debut on July 30, 2021, and is set to take the segment by storm thanks to the new features that it carries.

On the outside, the MG One carries the same design styling as its much smaller brothers the MG 6 and MG ZS as it comes with a sleek set of headlights and a sharp front fascia. It also borrows certain design features from its sedan sibling as well as seen on the recently updated MG 5. It comes with a long sloping hood and a large blacked-out grille. The top of the line models are also expected to come with a black roof, however, this may change depending on the market that the vehicle will be sold in. Moving to the back of the vehicle, it comes with some familiar styling cues as seen with its sleek taillights and well-chiseled rear hatch.

In terms of its size, the MG One measures 4,579 mm in length, 1,866 mm in width, and 1,601 mm in height. It also comes with a wheelbase of 2,670mm. This puts the crossover on par with the rest of its competition as most vehicles in its segment come roughly the same dimensions.
While interior photos of the new vehicle have yet to be released, we can expect to see the same attention to detail to be had as seen in the newer models. A new larger infotainment system is also expected with the MG One along with the brand’s i-Smart System that comes with a host of semi-autonomous driving technology.
With that in mind, this could be an ideal model for the automaker to bring into the Philippines, if priced correctly, as it would give interested buyers more vehicles to choose from aside from the Geely Azkarra, Ford Territory, and Suzuki Vitara. It could also enhance the local lineup especially if customers are looking for a much bigger vehicle aside from the MG ZS.
