Nissan Philippines has officially announced the arrival of the new Nissan Patrol in the country and just in time for the SUV’s 70th year anniversary. It now comes with the brand’s latest iteration of the V-motion design that gives the vehicle a much bolder look and also has a redesigned interior to keep up with its modern new makeover. To top it off Nissan has also given the new Patrol the full suite of its Nissan Intelligent Mobility safety features to make the SUV even more enticing.
Exterior
Starting with the exterior, the 2022 Nissan Patrol gets a new front fascia. It now comes with new LED C-shaped headlights that flank a new V-motion grille and a new bumper design. Together these give the SUV a much more futuristic look and modern look while still maintaining a strong yet luxurious presence. It also comes with signature LED daytime running lights that also come with sequential turn lamps.
While the major changes can be seen at the front, the back also gets a few new revisions, as well as the vehicle, now comes with a new tailgate accent that looks similar to what you would find on its smaller brother the Nissan Terra. It also now comes with LED taillights to further complete its newer look.
Interior and tech
The inside of the new Nissan Patrol has also been updated to complete its new look. It still comes with premium leather seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. It also comes with a new 7-inch full-color advanced driver assist display that is also paired with a new 12.3-inch infotainment system that has wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless charging. A cool box is present in the vehicle to provide more convenience and sophistication to the redesigned interior of the SUV. The vehicle also features a 13-speaker Bose premium sound system that envelops the cabin with high-quality sound for an excellent audio experience.
Safety
While the exterior is what most people will notice when it comes to the new look of the SUV, more changes have been made to its range of safety features. The 2022 Nissan Patrol now comes with the brand’s Nissan Intelligent Mobility technologies. This in turn makes the SUV smarter than ever by giving more confidence and safety in its legendary driving and riding experience.
The Patrol now has class-leading features such as Intelligent Cruise Control, Intelligent Forward Collision Braking, Intelligent Emergency Braking, Intelligent Lane Intervention, Lane Departure Warning, Intelligent Blindspot Intervention, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, and High Beam Assist, in addition to the Intelligent Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection, Hill Start Assist, and Hill Descent Control. All together these features help make the SUV safer than ever.
Power
Powering the new Nissan Patrol is a mighty 5.6-liter naturally aspirated V8 gasoline engine that pushes out 399hp and 560 Nm of torque. It sends power to all four wheels via a 7-speed automatic transmission. To add to that the SUV also comes with a manual mode and hydraulic body motion control to help improve its handling.
Pricing and colors
The 2022 Nissan Patrol will be available in three colors, Brilliant Silver, Black Obsidian, and Pearl White. The Brilliant Silver color variant comes with tan leather interiors, while the other two have black leather interiors. As for its pricing, the SUV can be had for P4,548,000 and will be available nationwide starting February 2022.
