Good news for the Mazda3 fans, the 2020 model is coming to Mazda dealerships soon. A set of images were sent to AutoDeal last week. It looks like Mazda is not being too subtle about the newest model, not even covering it as it is transported. We also noticed a few details such as the bodystyle, color, and wheel size that are tell tale signs of trim levels and different variants.
As we noted in our previous articles about the Mazda3, there seems to be no SkyActiv-X in the South East Asian region just yet. Malaysian dealerships got the 1.5L and 2.0L SkyActiv-G variants now, and the Philippine arm of Mazda likely followed suit.
The Mazda3 will come in either a sedan or hatchback bodystyle, and if the specs in other countries can suggest, it will come with the 1.5L and 2.0L SkyActiv-G engine. It also appears that the two wheel options are already present in the country. The 1.5L engines will most likely roll on 16-inches while the more powerful 2.0L will come with 18s.
Taking a closer look we can see four colors, or should we say five? We see that Mazda is sticking with its iconic Soul Red Crystal Metallic. Other models are seen painted in Snowflake White Pearl Mica, Deep Blue Crystal Mica, and what we think is the new Machine Gray Metallic, or Polymetal Gray Mica. Either way, you can go for a deep blue, red, or neutral tone. In other markets all trims can be had in Deep Crystal Blue Mica and Jet Black Mica. Polymetal Gray Mica Machine Gray Metallic, and Soul Red Crystal Metallic is for the Mazda3 hatchback only. Sonic Silver stands as the lone sedan-only color.
Again, this iteration of the Mazda3 extends and further refines the already handsome look of its predecessor. It is exciting to see the new model is already on its way to eager dealers and buyers, as well as members of the media hopefully soon. Once official specifications for the new Mazda3 will be sent in, the AutoDeal Car Guide will be updated.
