From the makers of the most recognizable name in Grand Tourers, Aston Martin, comes its latest luxury sports car. Launched at Okada Manila in Entertainment City, Paranaque City, Metro Manila, lucky guests and members of the media bore witness to the 2019 Vantage, marking its official arrival in the Philippines.

With the Vantage nameplate 13 years strong and instantly triggers recalls of beautiful sculpted lines and endless driving enjoyment, the all-new Vantage would have big shoes to fill. Based on the architecture in the flagship DB11 and design cues of the Aston Martin Vulcan, the Vantage sports a very aggressive overall look, with a large rear diffuser, slim lighting signature, and the ever-present long and flowing bonnet with short overhangs. Aerodynamics played a key role in development of the Vantage, with gills and a front splitter to direct airflow and reduce air pressure.
Interesting to note is that the Vantage utilizes powertrain and infotainment technology from Mercedes-Benz, just like the DB11. Under the hood is a Mercedes-AMG 4.0L twin turbo V8 that makes 503 hp and 685 Nm of torque mated to a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission. There’s even Aston Martin’s first ever electronic differential and torque vectoring system that adjusts to driver inputs and road conditions. An adaptive suspension and driving modes allow drivers to modify their performance preferences on the fly. The aluminum structure of the DB11 was the basis for the frame of the Vantage, but has been modified to be 70% new. Suspension is a set of front double wishbones and rear multi-link, and the all-new Vantage achieves 50:50 weight distribution.

The interior features top-quality leather and carbon fiber touches, all with an emphasis on luxury and comfort for its passengers. The infotainment system is the familiar COMAND system found in Mercedes-Benz products, and from our experience, is a solid performer. Aston Martin will also offer customization options and choices of materials for interiors, so alcantara/suede and contrast stitching combinations are very possible.

Pricing will only be given upon request and will vary from specification and options. Those who are interested in the Aston Martin Vantage may visit Aston Martin Manila at G/F W Fifth Avenue Building, 5th Avenue cor 32nd St., BGC Taguig City.
