The Blazer EV is Chevrolet’s electric vehicle version of its Blazer mid-size crossover. It’s not related to the TrailBlazer SUV that was sold here in the Philippines; rather, it’s a bigger sibling to the latest-generation TrailBlazer crossover.
The electrified Blazer EV has been in production since 2023, and when it was first introduced, Chevrolet promised buyers in North America that it would also launch a high-performance version called the Blazer EV SS.
Thanks to a few bumps in the road, the Blazer EV SS is only reaching US dealerships now, two and a half years later. However, Chevrolet has also given the Blazer EV SS a considerable bump in power. The latest version boasts 615 hp and 880 Nm of torque, delivering a blistering 3.4-second zero to 100 km/h sprint in Wide Open Watts (WOW) mode. Despite the power boost, it still offers a decent 487 km of range.

An astounding amount of power sure, but of course, you’re probably wondering how much the Blazer EV SS costs. According to Chevrolet's online configurator, the Blazer EV starts at $61,995 or around P3,602,061.01 when converted to pesos. For that price, you get a specially tuned chassis and Brembo brakes, ensuring the Blazer EV SS can handle its impressive power with precision.

The price of the Blazer EV SS is quite steep and puts it in the company of luxury SUVs here in the Philippines. However, since Chevrolet doesn’t currently offer a mid-size crossover or SUV, the Blazer—whether in its ICE or standard EV form—could make a strong case for itself in the market, assuming it’s priced competitively.
