Toyota is updating its SUV lineup in the Philippines with the new Land Cruiser Prado, which now includes a 2.4-liter turbocharged gasoline engine. The new engine replaces the older 4.0-liter V6 model, offering drivers the same full-bodied power but with improved fuel efficiency.
Performance-wise, the new engine dishes out about 279 horsepower and 430 Nm of torque, more than enough for driving around the metro, hitting the open road, and tackling some off-road adventures while you’re at it.

Right now, Toyota is concentrating on the gasoline model in the Philippines, even though a lot of people might actually prefer diesel. But there's a chance Toyota might bring in diesel and hybrid versions later, which would be perfect for anyone wanting to spend even less on fuel or looking for a cleaner option.

Besides the engine, the 2024 Land Cruiser Prado keeps its tough, go-anywhere look, that is filled with features for off-roading, like different terrain modes and locking differentials, so it can easily handle rough paths and steep hills. That’s perfect for exploring all the lovely and rugged places in the Philippines.

While Toyota hasn't released all the details or pricing yet, the new Prado is expected to be a smart buy since it is likely to offer a combination of the latest automotive technology, good performance, and comfort—all without breaking the bank compared to higher-end models like the LC300, which makes the new Prado a good choice for families and adventure-seekers alike. Looks like the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado will keep its popularity. Check out Toyota’s full range at AutoDeal and grab a quote for the car you’re interested in.
