Ford Philippines had increased the pricing of selected Ranger variants and the entry-level Territory Trend. This move is in accordance with the Department Administrative Order (DAO) No. 20-11 issued by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) that mandates the imposition of provisional safeguard duties on imported vehicles.

As mentioned, selected variants of the Ford Ranger, as well as the Ford Territory Trend, are affected by the recent price increase which became effective on March 1, 2021. Based on the table above, all variants of the Ranger, except for the Wildtrak 4x4 and Raptor, are affected by the partial amount of tariff.
Going through the additional amount applied on both the midsize pickup and the compact crossover, partial tariff ranges from P64,000 up to P123,000. Notably, selected XLS and XLT variants were greatly affected by this, with the following trims having the greatest amount of price increase. Sitting with the lowest increase applied, on the other hand, is the Ford Ranger FX4 4x2 AT and MT, with both variants of the midsize pickup only adding an additional tariff of P64,000.

Aside from the renowned Ranger lineup, the Territory Trend has also been affected by the price increase, specifically from P1,199,000, the entry-level variant made a P78,000 jump, with its SRP now retailing at P1,277,000. The top-of-the-line Territory Titanium+, on the other hand, retains its P1,310,000 price tag.
Aside from the blue oval badge, other automotive brand’s present in the local market are also conforming with the provisional safeguard duties on imported vehicles imposed by the DTI. Again, the following prices projected above were already made effective on March 1, 2021. Luckily, those who are looking into purchasing a Ranger Wildtrak 4x4, Ranger Raptor, or the range-topping will surely be delighted by the retained prices.
