Isuzu Thailand dropped a teaser commercial for the all-new D-Max. The short video shows glimpses of the new pickup truck in quick succession, so here is what we noticed from the quick 15-second long video.
First on the list is a new front fascia. The upcoming D-Max has a new wider grille with what appears to be silver or chrome accents on the sides. The center of the grille meanwhile gets the blacked-out treatment.

The headlights have also received a rework. Compared to the current generation, it now features a Bi-LED or Bi-Xenon setup. It closely resembles the headlight configuration of the current generation of mu-X minus the signal lights. Speaking of signal lights, these have now been moved to the bumper of the vehicle, positioned just above the fog lights. A daytime running light LED strip now encompasses the majority of the headlight housing with the exception of the top portion.
Next up is the interior which now features fresh interior accents and a glimpse of a head unit that is Apple CarPlay and Android Auto-capable. A newly designed center console and gear shifter are also present in the commercial trailer. The gear indicator has now been moved to the gear selector itself instead of being on the center console.
The last part of the portion shows off the D-max’s taillights as well as a tachometer revving up. While the taillights have been refreshed with a boxier lighting design, the tachometer hints that there is a new engine coming with the pickup. The engine cover shows off an engine with a more centered oil cap location. Based on positioning alone, it indicates that it’s a new engine as the current BluePower engines have their oil caps positioned off-center and to the right. The displacement and power figures of this new engine is still unknown.
The new version of the D-Max is set to launch on October 19, 2019, according to the commercial. There is no news yet of when the new version of the popular pickup will make its way into the Philippine market. We will keep you updated once we find out more.
