The Covenant Car Company, Inc. (TCCCI), the exclusive distributor of MG vehicles in the Philippines, invites the public to view the new MG 5 in Manila. The all-new model was initially launched during the Cebu Auto Show (CAS) on September 13, 2019, with four variants. Now, it's time for Manila to see the vehicle in the metal. The MG 5 will make its Metro Manila debut at Glorietta 2 Activity Center and will be available for viewing from October 3-6, 2019.
The MG 5 won't be alone during its display. Other models will join it on display in the MG line up are the RX5, ZS, and the MG 6 fastback sedan.
Pricing for the MG 5 starts at P658,888 for the Core variant, while the top-spec Alpha variant of the MG 5 will set you back P938,888.
The MG 5 is the British car manufacturer’s entry into the competitive subcompact sedan segment. This segment is hotly contested by the likes of the Vios, City, and the Accent. To prove that it can become competitive in this segment, the MG 5 comes with a 1.5-liter engine producing 112 hp and 150 Nm of torque. The 1.5-liter engine is attached to either a 5-speed manual or a CVT.
The interior of the subcompact sedan also makes it competitive as it features a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system. On top of the generous screen space, the 10-inch head unit also comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities, making phone mirroring a breeze.
For added safety, the MG 5 comes with a 360-degree vehicle view. The cameras give the driver a bird’s eye view of the car. The camera system also adds convenience to parking and navigation through tight spaces.
There is more to the debut than just the MG vehicles. In order to celebrate the Metro Manila Launch of the MG 5, MG Philippines will be holding its manila leg of the free concert series, MG Live! will headline bands like Ben&Ben and IV of Spades
We at MG Philippines have always regarded MG Live! as a celebration of the vibrancy and the youthfulness of modern MGs, as well as the rich musical talent inherent in the Philippines
