Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI), the local distributor of Honda vehicles, introduced the upgraded City for 2016 Model Year.
According to HCPI, the latest City VX and VX+ variants are now equipped with new audio-visual navigation systems (AVN) powered by Garmin
The new AVN features a CUBE User Interface which displays a 3D cubic representation of the controls on a flat, wide-angle touchscreen LCD. It also allows users to conveniently sift through different menus and functions using 3-finger swiping gestures. Drivers can also configure the screen’s color theme and highlight the frequently-used apps on its Widget Homepage design.
In addition, the City’s AVN comes with voice command, which allow drivers to activate navigation, phone, and media features hands-free. It can also be controlled through Bluetooth connectivity and Auto+ Smartphone app which is compatible for both Android and iOS devices.
As for the City’s E variants (both manual- and CVT-equipped), HCPI installed a set of fog lights for better road visibility at night or on rainy days.
Under the hood, the Honda City runs with a 1.5L inline 4-cylinder i-VTEC gasoline engine mated to either a 5-speed manual transmission or Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).
