Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) has just announced a recall for the '03-'06 Accord, '04-'05 Civic, and '06-'07 Pilot. The reason behind the recall is a suspected defect in the airbag inflator of the driver side airbag.
Thankfully, there have been no injuries related to the recall to date. HCPI strongly requests owners of the said vehicle models to set an appointment with any authorized Honda Dealership to have the defect repaired free of charge. Repair service for the affected vehicles has already started last August 17, 2015.
It will take an hour or so to replace the driver side airbag inflator at all authorized Honda dealerships and service centers nationwide.
HCPI deeply regrets any inconvenience caused to the owners of these vehicles. Customers may contact Honda at (02) 857-7240 or email at update@hondaphil.com.
See table below for the complete list of frame numbers of the affected vehicles.
