The Honda Odyssey was developed to meet the mobility needs of growing families. And when it was first launched here in the Philippines back in 2012, it was coined as the “Ultimate Family Vehicle.” But now, there's an all-new model sourced from Japan.
The all-new Odyssey flaunts an exterior based on the “solid streamline” concept which adapts an ultra-low platform. What this does is it gets a sedan-like stance, while achieving better cabin space with ease of entry and exit. It also incorporates modern exterior features including a LED dual projector type headlights, LED daytime running lights, and LED tail lamps to further enhance its elegance on the road.
The interior stays true to the “modern suite room” concept incorporating high quality materials and ultra-comfortable leather seats for 7 passengers. The second row is specifically equipped with Captain Cradle Seats with Ottoman while the third row has three-way split reclining seats that can be stowed neatly flat. This can either add more legroom for the second row passengers or offer more luggage space. All passengers remain seated comfortably thanks to the addition of a Triple-Zone Automatic Air-conditioning with independent controls at the rear.
The all-new Odyssey boasts a 2.4L DOHC i-VTEC 4-cylinder engine mated to a CVT transmission with Earth Dreams Technology. This is Honda’s first model to offer this technology in the Philippines which promises to improve fuel efficiency and performance. It is rated at 175 hp @ 6,200 rpm and 237Nm @ 4,000 rpm.
Other fuel saving features include an Eco Assist System and Idle-Stop System with cold-storage evaporator.
Maintaining peace of mind while on the road, the all-new Odyssey also has a wide array of active and passive safety features like driver and passenger SRS airbags, side airbags, side curtain airbags, ABS + EBD, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) and Hill Start Assist (HSA). Other notable safety features include an Active Cornering Lights, Emergency Stop Signal, multi-view camera system, Smart Parking Assist System, Blind Spot Information, and Cross Traffic Monitor.
The all-new Odyssey is now available with the introductory price of P2,298,000.
A list of genuine accessory packages including a Mugen or Modulo package kits is also offered. It's readily available in 3 colors; Premium Twinkle Black Pearl, White Orchid Pearl, and Modern Steel Metallic. Other colors are also available by order consisting of Glamorous Mauve Pearl, Super Platinum Metallic, Carnelian Red Pearl, and Crystal Black Pearl.
