Hyundai Motor Philippines Inc. (HMPH) has marked a significant milestone by commencing construction on its forthcoming dealership, a joint venture with Gateway Motors, set to grace the city of Cebu. On the auspicious day of August 11, 2023, the city of Talisay warmly received an esteemed assembly of HMPH luminaries, including President Mr. Dong Wook Lee, Managing Director Mr. Cecil Capacete, as well as the distinguished representatives from the Gateway Group: Executive Vice President Mr. Michael Goho, Corporate Secretary Ms. Estrella Goho, and Hyundai Brand Head Mr. Glenn Teves.
Cebu is an urban crucible, encompassing commerce, education, tourism, and transportation, flourishing as one of the archipelago's most expansive metropolitan areas. Nestled within this bustling milieu, Talisay stands as a nucleus for both residence and trade. Mr. Lee expressed unwavering commitment to serve the dynamic populace of this burgeoning region.

"We count ourselves fortunate that the Gateway Group shares our fervor for mobility and community welfare. Cebuanos will soon find greater accessibility to our sustainable and innovative vehicles, including our illustrious IONIQ 5 and 6, consecutively crowned World Car of The Year. Moreover, we aim to strengthen our presence among existing Hyundai owners residing or laboring on this island through expert aftersales support and genuine parts and accessories offerings."

Hyundai Cebu-Talisay represents a fresh leaf in HMPH's electric vehicle (EV) legacy, firmly grounded in the brand's global vision and identity. This dealership, poised to embrace the Hyundai Global Dealership Space Identity (GDSI) 2.0, epitomizes a pivot towards a customer-centric paradigm. The showroom is envisioned as a multifaceted experiential space, designed to cater to diverse customer interactions, be it inquiries, test drives, or service and repairs. Eager patrons can anticipate the dealership's grand opening, slated for the fourth quarter of 2024, as they prepare to be enchanted by the synergy of Hyundai's commitment to innovation and customer care.
