Hyundai has unveiled the highly anticipated refreshed 2024 Stargazer model, taking the spotlight with its new crossover-inspired variant, the Stargazer X. While the exterior appearance of the refreshed Stargazer might not have undergone a dramatic transformation, the interior upgrades are notable. A fresh dashboard design now features an expansive piano black accent that elegantly envelops the floating-style instrument cluster and infotainment screen. The redesign of the instrument cluster's bezel not only enhances aesthetics but also improves outward visibility. Adding to the convenience and modernity of the vehicle is the introduction of an electronic parking brake with an auto-hold function. The top-tier trim models are also adorned with ambient interior lighting, contributing to an elevated sense of luxury within the cabin.

However, the centerpiece of this unveiling is the introduction of the Stargazer X, a new variant designed to cater to families with active lifestyles. Merging design elements from Hyundai's renowned MPV and SUV lineups, the Stargazer X introduces a rugged and sophisticated aesthetic. Noteworthy exterior elements include the incorporation of aluminum-like details into the new bumpers, offering a touch of sturdiness. The front grille showcases a captivating 3D interlocking design, complemented by 17-inch alloy wheels boasting 205/50R17 tires, adding an air of sophistication to the overall appearance. A transformation is further evident with the inclusion of roof rails, black fenders, and black side sills. The color palette also expands to include two matte options—Gravity Gold Matte and Optic White Matte.

Stepping inside, the Stargazer X is equipped with impressive features to enhance the driving experience. Notably, it offers a segment-first eight-speaker Bose sound system, along with wireless device charging. Safety is paramount, demonstrated by the inclusion of an integrated Emergency SOS button within the overhead console, courtesy of Hyundai's standard BlueLink-connected car services. The interior boasts standard black leather upholstery with maroon accents. The seating configuration offers flexibility, with options for both six and seven-seater versions, particularly in its launch market of Indonesia.

Under the hood, the Stargazer retains its existing mechanical setup. The Smartstream G 1.5-liter engine continues to power the vehicle, delivering 115 hp and 144 Nm of torque. Safety features are comprehensive and advanced, with the Stargazer X being equipped with Hyundai Smart Sense as standard. This package includes Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Driver Attention Warning, Blind Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist, Safe Exit Warning, and forward clearance sensors. Additionally, rear disc brakes and tire pressure sensors contribute to the vehicle's overall safety.

Hyundai Motor Philippines has confirmed that the refreshed Stargazer and Stargazer X are set to arrive in the Philippine market by the fourth quarter of 2023. Though specifications for the Philippine market are not yet final, the Stargazer X is poised to compete with formidable rivals such as the Honda BR-V, Mitsubishi Xpander Cross, and Toyota Rush, marking an exciting chapter in Hyundai's automotive offerings.
