Hyundai Motor Philippines Inc. (HMPH) is expanding its reach in the Philippines with the opening of a new pop-up store at Robinson’s North Tacloban and the groundbreaking of a Hyundai dealership in Tacloban. These events both took place on May 3, 2024, increasing Hyundai’s presence in the region.
The event was attended by HMPH executives including Mr. Dongwook Lee, President, and Mr. Cecil Capacete, Managing Director. Additionally, the partnership with Topcars Autoworld Corporation, which will manage the Hyundai Tacloban dealership, was formally introduced. Topcars Autoworld’s team, including President Mr. Willard Chan, Managing Director Mr. Ryan Lindbergh Chan, and Chief Finance Officer Ms. Charlene Lesley Chan, participated in both the pop-up store opening and the dealership groundbreaking ceremony.

During the event, HMPH Managing Director Mr. Cecil Capacete expressed his appreciation for the partnership with Topcars Autoworld Corporation. He mentioned that Hyundai’s selection of dealer partners is based on shared values and a commitment to providing excellent service to customers.

“Aside from the latest technology we bring, what truly sets Hyundai apart from its competitors is our genuine care for our customers. In selecting our dealer partners, we make sure that our values resonate with the winning candidate. We only entrust the brand to those who we believe have the heart to extend the dedicated service that our consumers deserve. Through Topcars Autoworld Corporation, HMPH is confident that the City of Tacloban will be able to fully experience and enjoy the Hyundai brand.”
Tacloban, being the most populous city in Eastern Visayas, is actually a prime location for Hyundai to expand. The city’s status as a transportation and distribution center in the region makes it a good choice and an ideal hub for Hyundai to expand its reach, introduce its vehicle lineup, and connect with a larger audience, which sits well with Hyundai’s global vision of “Progress for Humanity."

Residents and visitors of Tacloban are invited to visit the Hyundai pop-up store located at Level 1, Robinson’s North Tacloban, to explore the latest Hyundai models. For a look at all Hyundai models, head to AutoDeal. You can also get a price quote for the Hyundai you want to buy.
