Blacked-out special editions are a common sight in the automotive market as more and more automakers are releasing these limited edition vehicles. Mazda, on the other hand, wants a slice of that action but with a gray-themed twist. The Japanese automaker has just announced that it will be releasing Carbon Edition models.
These new special models will be 2021 versions of the Mazda6, Mazda CX-5, and the Mazda CX-9. All of these vehicles will come with an exclusive Polymetal Gray exterior along with blacked-out trim and a black metallic finish for the wheels. On the inside, these vehicles will come with a red leather interior, continuing with the theme, however, and more black accents will be present in the cabin.

Mazda has yet to release the details of its 2021 lineup for these limited edition models. So as it stands, we expect these vehicles to be placed somewhere near the top of the line models in their respective lineups. The Japanese automaker has stated that all Carbon Editions models will be coming with Bose Premium audio, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, heated front seats, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control.
If Polymetal Gray isn’t your style then don’t worry as there is another color option for these special edition vehicles. All three vehicles can also be had with a Jet Black Mica paint job, for those who still like the aesthetics of an all-black car.
There is no official word yet if Mazda Philippines will be bringing in these special edition models to the country. With the release of the 100th edition models, this might be an unlikely scenario for the remaining months of 2020. Chances might increase by 2021, as these updated new models might soon be entering the local automotive market. That said, we will keep you updated with the latest news once more information arrives.
