As part of the company's commitment to deliver high quality, top value, leading-edge technology vehicles, Mitsubishi Motors is set to showcase a line of new vehicles for North America between now until the end of the second quarter in 2021. The upcoming models shall have more standard features than before, including key standard active safety features which should further empower its lineup.
Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) will launch a considerable number of models as early as winter season. Here’s a detailed look of each model.
While the previous upgrades from 2020 Outlander Sport will be carried over for its 2021 model and will be set to go on sale this fall, the Outlander PHEV on the other hand will sport major revisions. This includes a new powertrain, as well as a host of updates to each trim level. Its updated engine will have a higher displacement rate and an uprated horsepower figure. Moreover, the larger and more refined electric drive system shall offer more all-electric range and speed of operation. The world's best-selling plug-in hybrid vehicle is set to go on sale by winter this year.
The Mitsubishi Mirage and Mirage G4 are fairly known by most Filipinos as one of those practical choices when buying a brand new small car. Its small dimensions are then rewarded with superb fuel-efficiency and a roomy cabin. With all that said, both the hatch and the G4 are destined for an extensive makeover. Plus, it’s going to be better equipped including the abundance of safety features. The new Mitsubishi Mirage and Mirage G4 are both set to go on sale by the first quarter of 2021.
Next is the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross, and it will be one of those models to sport Mitsubishi's next-generation design language which will be further executed on the front and rear. Aside from its looks, its interior will also be revised and it will also welcome a new infotainment system. Now, the said model is set to go on sale by the second quarter of 2021.
Last but not the least is the all-new Mitsubishi Outlander, this model marks a new generation, embarking a new era. The compact crossover will have larger dimensions, plus, a new styling that’s bolder and better than its outgoing model, as it incorporates Mitsubishi’s latest design language. The all-new Outlander will also excel in terms of technology and interior refinements. The much anticipated model will then be launched by early 2021.
Despite the ongoing pandemic, Mitsubishi has been stepping up its game as it strengthens its presence in the United States through launching a line of new vehicles. We do hope that some of those models would considerably enter our country as further expansion of the brand’s local lineup.
