Mitsubishi Philippines has quietly removed the Pajero from its local lineup in the country. A quick look at the automaker’s website reveals that the iconic SUV is no longer available as it is no longer being featured in the brand’s price list or model list. The Mitsubishi Pajero is one of the brand’s oldest vehicles being sold in the country so it comes as no surprise that they have decided to remove the vehicle.
Other Mitsubishi sales companies around the globe have also dropped the nameplate from their lineup as well, as the brand has stopped production of the SUV last March. In other countries such as Japan and Australia, the Pajero has entered its Final Edition phase as a last celebration for the SUV to give it a proper send-off.
It is important to note, that Mitsubishi Philippines has not announced anything official yet, however, the removal of the model from the price list confirms the conclusion that the Pajero is no longer being sold in the country. While the final edition may not have reached our shores, the SUV has definitely made its mark in the country as its first through fourth generations have been sold in the local automotive market. For a time, the Mitsubishi Pajero was also one of the brand’s best-selling vehicles in the Philippines as well.

With the Pajero now gone from the local automotive market, its unofficial successor the Mitsubishi Montero Sport will now take over as the only 7-seater diesel-powered SUV that the brand has in the country. There is still no word from Mitsubishi Motors if they will bring back the iconic nameplate later on, however, this seems unlikely as the brand has shifted towards making crossovers, pickup trucks, and medium-sized SUVs. But who knows the Pajero could make a comeback soon but with a hybrid or electric power plant in the near future.
