Nissan is still keeping things fresh with the Nissan Navara for the 2023 model year as the automaker has given the popular pickup truck more safety technology. The brand has recently unveiled an enhanced version of the pickup truck that comes with updated styling along with more driver assistance technology as standard.
The new model made its initial appearance in Thailand for the 2022 model year, however, it will likely make it to the rest of the ASEAN market for the 2023 model year as the pickup truck will get more Nissan Intelligent Mobility features as standard.
The updated version of the pickup truck now comes with more safety features as standard for the VE trim. The mid variant comes with ADAS technologies that were once previously available only in higher trim VL and PRO models. These include Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Blind Spot Warning (BSW) with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA).
Aside from this the updated Navara also now comes with two new brake-related ADAS technologies which are Intelligent Lane Intervention (ILI) applies braking force to steer the car right back into the lane when it senses the vehicle veering off lane markings and Intelligent Blind Spot Intervention (IBSI) which lightly applies braking force to return the vehicle to its lane if it detects an obstacle in its blind spot during a lane change. The pickup truck also gets High Beam assist which will automatically switch the headlights from high to low beam when it detects a vehicle ahead.
While the changes to the Navara are predominantly safety tech-related, it does now come with heat-reflecting Quole Modure seats.
Aside from this the pickup truck also gets a Black Edition as well which gives it a black finishing to the front grille, side mirror molding, door handles, front lower bumper, tailgate handle, and over the fender. It also adds a shark fin antenna, black body stickers, and black 18-inch alloy wheels. The interior trim has also been updated as the air vents, inside door handle, cup holders, transmission base, door armrest, and door trim are also colored in black.
There is no word from Nissan Philippines as to when it plans to bring in the updated version of the pickup truck to our local market. However, do stay tuned as we will update you on the latest news, deals, promos, and discounts that are available for the pickup truck.
