Nissan Philippines welcomes 2021 with an update for its best-selling model, the Nissan Terra VL. The upgraded variant of the Japanese brand’s mid-size SUV is said to feature a bolder look equipped with blacked-out accents aboard a familiar, tried-and-tested platform that’s been desirable since its launch back in 2018.
It is important to note that the upgrades made to the Terra are available on the VL variant of the Nissan Terra, otherwise known as the top of the line family of variants for the Terra from Nissan Philippines.
Exterior
The changes made to the exterior of the midsize SUV include a gloss black front radiator grille, a gloss black front bumper, with foglamp accents, and gloss black door handles and door mirrors. On top of all that gloss black, it gets a dark chrome rear garnish at the tailgate along with gloss black step boards, and topping it all off and completing the gloss black look, are the blacked-out alloy wheels which add a bit of sportiness and cleanliness to the already clean design of the Nissan Terra for 2021.
Interior
The dark and bold theme of the exterior translates to the interior as well, with the dark chrome showing itself in the interior of the vehicle. Chromed surfaces in the standard VL Nissan Terra are now clad in dark chrome, and you get dual-tone leather seats, with a dark brown and black color combination for the upholstery.
Tech
The same technology package that was present in the Nissan Terra is still present in this version of the Terra VL. The Around-View Monitor (AVM) that is a part of the Nissan Intelligent Mobility package is still standard with this trim of the Terra. The cameras still output to Nissan’s Advanced Display Audio which also has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity options, and you still get the same standard safety kit that VL Nissan Terras get.
All in all, it’s a compelling package made even more compelling thanks to a bolder color scheme on an already bold design. The Nissan Terra has been updated for 2021 ready for the challenges ahead following the challenges already conquered.
