Chinese automaker Omoda is serious about their entry into the Philippine market and it seems they’re not content in stopping with just cars, they want to sell a lifestyle as well. Along with their cars Omoda is also launching the “O-Universe”, a concept that the Chinese automakers says is an ecosystem for owners of their cars.
Omoda aims to attract a relatively young, independent, and ambitious customer base, building a community of car owners dubbed by the brand as “Omoders”. According to Omoda, the brand shares the same drive as its customers and plans to integrate various aspects of their lives through access, perks, and exclusive deals. Ultimately, Omoda’s goal is to enable every owner to experience the Omoda Lifestyle, even when they are not using their car.
Omoda has devised a plan to provide its owners with an all-encompassing lifestyle experience. In Omoda’s O-Universe are four facets which make up the lifestyle that Omoda wishes to impart on their consumer base. First off is O-FASHION, Omoda owners will receive discounts on selected premium fashion and sporting brands, as well as early access to exclusive sales. Next up is O-CLUB, through O-Club, Omoda owners will gain entry into social events and VIP invites to weekend clubs, in addition to discounts on travel and leisure packages and selected restaurants.
O-LIFE, meanwhile, offers Omoda owners rebates and advice on fuel rates via its Fuel Partner, as well as the chance to participate in CSR activities like environmental runs and outreach programs. The final piece in Omoda’s O-Universe is O-Lab, an initiative that will enable the brand to receive feedback and suggestions from its customers through various platforms such as webpages, forums, and events.
By adopting a "user co-creation" approach, Omoda encourages its customers to provide input on areas that need improvement and suggest features they would like to see in upcoming models. This process ensures that all "Omoders" will have a personal touch on future Omoda products, and the brand can continue to innovate based on the needs and wants of its customers.
According to Omoda, the O-Universe ecosystem will be active on the same day that Omoda launches in the Philippines, ensuring that customers can make full use of their perks as soon as possible. As for the launch date, you can expect Omoda as well as its sister brand Jaecoo to officially launch here in the Philippines within the fourth quarter of 2023.
