Suzuki Philippines, the brand that specializes in compact cars in the Philippines, ended the 2019 calendar year with a 21.17% increase in vehicle sales. The increase covers all four quarters of last year, in comparison to the sales figures from 2018.
The boost in Suzuki Philippines’ sales numbers was thanks to the aggressive marketing efforts employed for Suzuki’s local lineup. This can be seen in the success of its models such as the Ertiga, Vitara, and Celerio. Suzuki states that these vehicles are the most enjoyed vehicles of 2019 thanks to their strong sales numbers.
We in Suzuki Philippines are proud to have ended 2019 on a high note. The past year is a testament to our accomplishments in our feat to gain the trust of the Filipinos that we are able to give them quality driving experience. As we enter a new year, it is our responsibility to assure our customers that we will continue to be ambitious as we thrive to exceed their expectations through the products and services we offer.

The success of the company is credited to the strong sales of the Ertiga, Vitara, and Celerio. These three models combined account for 55% of the sales of the company. The Ertiga comes in with a 34% share of the total sales for the brand. It is a solid 7-seater vehicle that offers good engine power and seating flexibility. Coming in with an 11% share of the total sales of the company is the Vitara. This subcompact crossover is characterized by its great exterior styling, infotainment, and fuel economy. Completing the list is the Celerio with a 10% share in total sales. The small hatchback offers buyers a spacious interior and an ideal ride.
In addition to the remarkable performance of the Japanese brand locally, Keiichi Suzuki will now lead the company as the Vice President and concurrent General Manager of Suzuki’s Automobile Division in the Philippines. This is effective on January 1, 2020.
With its impressive sales numbers in 2019, Suzuki is set to continue this trend into the new year. The company has plans for more exciting new products to enter the market in 2020, along with its efforts to serve the Filipino market.
