After repairing five roads in Metro Manila last July, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will continue its road repair activities on two sections on EDSA and one section each of A.H. Lacson Avenue and Batasan Road. This will be carried out today, August 31, 2018.
With clearance from the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), the continuation of road repairs will be undertaken at EDSA southbound direction starting from in front of Francesca Tower to after Scout Borromeo, third lane from the center island; as well as the northbound way from before North Avenue, sixth lane from the center island.
Aside from that, road reblocking will also be implemented at the northbound directions of A.H Lacson Avenue, corner Aragon Street and corner P. Florentino Street. This will also be conducted in Batasan Road before Payatas Road, second lane.
In this case, motorists are advised to use alternative routes to avoid traffic slowdown in the affected areas. Now, if you are using Batasan Road, you may take Commonwealth Avenue for the meantime, while the roads are still under construction. Weekend is the time to refresh our mind and brush off all the stress, so don’t let heavy traffic block your relaxation time, yes?
According to DPWH, the aforementioned lanes are said to be entirely passable on September 3, 2018, at 5:00 a.m.
