Volkswagen Philippines has recently introduced the refreshed version of Caddy multi-purpose vehicle (MPV). The European marque claims that this 7-seater compact MPV acquires versatility, safety, and delivers more power yet less consumption.
To give customers options, the new Caddy is available in 2 variants. One is the Comfortline (CL) and the other is the Sportline (SL). Same with its previous version, both variations are run by a 1.6L turbocharged direct injection (TDI) diesel engine that can deliver up to 101 hp and 250 Nm of torque. It is then coupled to a 7-speed direct shift gear (DSG) transmission.
As for the on-board entertainment, the MPV is equipped with a 6-speaker touchscreen audio unit with Bluetooth connectivity. Other features of both variants include leather steering, front fog lights, and exterior mirror auto fold. Meanwhile, exclusive features for the SL variant are 17-inch Madrid alloy wheels, driver alert system, body-colored protective side moldings with chrome inserts, smoked rear lamp cover, and silver roof rails.
What makes the new Caddy an eye candy for families is because it features flexible seating configurations and generous cargo space. Importantly, it secures passenger’s safety with its front, side, and curtain airbags, cruise control, Hill Hold Control, flat tire indicator, electronic immobilizer, and many more.
Priced at P1,430,000 for CL and P1,480,000 for SL, the improved Caddy is available in colors such as Deep Black Pearl and Chestnut Brown (for CL only), Fortuna Red (for SL only), and Candy White.
