Nissan has revealed new details regarding the LEAF yet again. The series of teasers, which was released weeks ago, confirmed that the new LEAF is integrated with a technology dubbed as e-Pedal. This time, the Japanese automaker uploaded a video that shows more details about the upcoming vehicle.
The video suggests that the LEAF will feature an improved aerodynamic design, which Nissan claims to deliver less drag and better vehicle stability. We also learned that the LEAF’s shape is inspired by airplane wings in order to enable a symmetric airflow.
The Nissan Leaf is said to be the first mass-marketed EV globally and continuously competing in the world market. Recently, the current LEAF was displayed at the 1st ASEAN EV and Hybrid Summit at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.
Aside from that, the Mitsubishi i-MiEV and Outlander plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), Toyota Prius PHV, and the Lexus NX 300h also made their appearance at the said summit.
The new Nissan LEAF is scheduled to make its debut on September 6.
