The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will repair and reblock major roads in Quezon City this weekend. This follows the rehabilitation work done last March 2017 on portions of Mindanao Ave., Commonwealth Ave., and Congressional Ave.
The announcement, which was done via the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) website, says that the road work will begin at 11 p.m. of April 21 until 5 a.m. of April 24, 2017.
Affected areas in Quezon City are as follows:
Northbound
- 2nd lane of Mindanao Avenue from Tandang Sora to Mindanao Avenue Bridge
- 2nd lane of Quirino Highway from Mindanao Avenue to Bernardino Street
- 4th lane of Commonwealth Avenue from Litex Road to Dona Carmen
Southbound
- 2nd lane of EDSA from Roosevelt Avenue to Quezon Avenue
According to the agency, the listed roads will be passable again by 5 a.m. on Monday, April 24. Motorists are advised to use alternate roads to avoid any inconvenience caused by the repairs.
