Ford Philippines concluded April 2016 with a record-breaking sales feat. Compared to the same period a year ago, the American carmaker notched well up the sales charts with a 93% increase, making it their highest monthly record so far with 3,152 units sold.
If you’re one of the proud customers who bought a unit of the all-new Everest, EcoSport, Ranger, and Explorer last month, Ford Philippines has a lot to thank you for. That’s because buyers like you helped a lot in propelling the brand’s steadfast sales performance.
“Our full lineup of global Ford vehicles continues to be very well received by customers, helping our brand continue to gain momentum and even more appeal,” said Ford Philippines Managing Director Lance Mosley.
A total of 1,308 units of the all-new Ford Everest found homes last April. Of note, this mid sized 7-seater SUV is the brand’s best-selling nameplate with a chart-topping 4,838 successfully-sold units since January 2016 (year-to-date sales).
The Everest’s hunky, muscular body gives a hint of its capabilities on and off the road. It’s also one of the most technologically-equipped in its class. Within its spacious cabin is a host of goodies like the Ford Sync infotainment system that can be controlled using an 8-inch touch screen LCD. It also has an Active Parking Assist and Hill Start Assist.
With regards to this, the brand recently added a Titanium 2.2 4x2 with Premium Package variant to the Everest, which may help it to gain additional sales traction in months to come. It offers added features such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping System, Lane Departure Warning, and Active Park Assist.
The Ford EcoSport, on the other hand, still scored high with a total April sale of 837 units, smashing its April 2015 sales by 25%. It also retained its segment-leading year-to-date sales figure. A total of 2,667 EcoSport units were sold since 2016 began.
Meanwhile, the Ford Ranger pickup saw an increase of 13% in year-over-year sales. As for the Ford Explorer premium SUV, it boasted a 16% increase in April sales, that’s a total of 80 units.
The Ford Fiesta subcompact sold 81 units, while the brand’s popular pony car, the Mustang, has made 19 new owners happy last month.
