Tata Motors Ltd.'s recently announced sub-brand Tamo made a special car debut at this year's Geneva International Motor Show with its first ever race coupe concept – Racemo.
Claimed to be a product of combining physical and digital aspects, Racemo is India's pride when it comes to connected cars. As for such type of technology, the race coupe will be powered by Microsoft and will have technical abilities, such as cloud computing, geospatial, and mapping.
Moreover, the Racemo concept highlights Tata’s campaign to be “FutuReady,” which focuses on the advancements in smart mobility.
‘RACEMO’ is the first innovation from TAMO, and our emotional, unexpected leap to the future. Symbolizing the change that is taking place at Tata Motors, ‘RACEMO’ is the proving ground of the TAMO family of vehicles and will drive the future of India’s connected generation," said Tata Motors CEO & managing director Guenter Butschek.
The visually satisfying architecture of the Racemo is complemented by its 1.2L turbocharged engine that delivers 190 hp and 210 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 6-speed automated-manual transmission with paddle shifters. The brand claims that its intelligent race coupe has an acceleration rate of 6 seconds from rest to 100 km/h.
For people who are into car racing video games, the Tamo Racemo can be driven in the Forza Horizon 3 franchise that is available in Xbox One and PC.
