2016 was marked as yet a remarkable year for Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) as it announces its highest sales performance with 23,199 vehicles sold. With this, HCPI ended 2016 with a 20% growth compared to the 19,315 total sales the previous year.
The Japanese marquee’s automobile business unit in the Philippines said that the highest monthly record is December 2016 with 2,805 units sold. Among the main contributors were the all-new BR-V, Civic, and the City.
With that, the BR-V garnered more than 2,000 reservations since its local debut last September 2016. All in all, 717 of its units were sold upon its availability in December the same year. The Civic, on the other hand, set 2,500 vehicle sales, while the City retains its position to be Honda’s best-selling model among the 15 HCPI vehicle line-up with 8,913 vehicles sold.
On behalf of Honda Cars Philippines, Inc., we would like to extend our sincerest appreciation to our customers for continuously making the brand their preferred choice. We are pleased by the unwavering support as seen in the 2016 sales milestone. This would not be possible without them,” said HCPI President and General Manager Toshio Kuwahara.
Furthermore, Honda claims that its participation in notable automotive exhibitions helped boost the demands for the brand, as well as expand their market reach.
