Mazda has released the updated Mazda3 featuring new SkyActiv technologies that bind the control of the car enhancing the Jinba Ittai experience.
The 2017 Mazda3 now comes with the latest addition in the SkyActiv arsenal called the G-Vectoring Control (GVC). Born of Mazda’s human-centered development philosophy, this motion control feature is said to be the first in the world to vary torque depending on the steering inputs of the driver. GVC takes control of the lateral and longitudinal acceleration forces and vertical load on each wheel for smooth vehicle movement.
In layman’s terms, the updated Mazda3 will now react more in line with the driver’s intentions by reducing steering corrections. It will also reduce torso sway and acceleration forces on passengers providing a smoother and more comfortable ride. Moreover, GVC improves handling in most conditions such as wet, snowy, and on the unpaved roads.
Mazda is striving to become an irreplaceable presence in the lives of our customers, to create a special bond with them and to be a ‘one-and-only’ brand they will choose again and again. In order to do that, we will continue updating our models with next-generation technologies based on our human-centered development philosophy, without concern for the timing of redesigns,” said Masamichi Kogai, Mazda’s President and CEO.
The 2017 Mazda3 SkyActiv is now available in Japan and goes on sale in the U.S. later this year. Mazda Philippines, on the other hand, haven't made any announcement if they will be bringing the updated compact hatchback here.
