The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced the route of the 2017 Black Nazarene procession on Monday, January 9.
In a tweet by the MMDA, the procession will take the following route in Manila, which will start at around 5:30 a.m. from the Quirino Grandstand and will end at the Quiapo Church.

Motorists are advised to expect heavy traffic on the mentioned routes, and are suggested to take a detour.
The Manila City Hall declared January 9 as a non-working holiday in the city in order to give way to the Feast of the Black Nazarene.
The feast of Black Nazarene is an annual celebration and reenactment of the Translacion, which happened in 1787. This is the solemn transfer of the statute from its original location (now Rizal Park) to its current location at Minor Basilica in Quiapo district in the City of Manila, Philippines.
