Nissan has introduced the Vmotion 2.0 concept at the 2017 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). From the looks of it, it seems that Nissan intends to inject aggression-causing I.V. fluids to its future production sedans.
Nissan redesigned its signature Vmotion grille by making it bolder and more prominent. However, Nissan wasn’t contented by just revamping the brand’s grille design. They plan to go for the kill by showing the new design direction of its future sedans, such as the Altima. If this concept goes into production, the Altima and the all-new Camry could have an exciting slugfest.
In a nutshell, the Vmotion 2.0 concept hints at an aggressive and angular design of Nissan’s upcoming sedans. The concept also revealed that Nissan cars will be integrated with sharp character lines. Moreover, it is fitted with a panoramic sunroof and a wraparound rear glass, which sort of balances out the strong appearance of the car with a sleek look.
The front and rear doors swing outward (a.k.a. suicide doors), which moves away from the conventional design of Nissan’s sedans. Inside, a large screen is placed on the dashboard, integrated with the instrument panel and infotainment system. The center console as well as the steering wheel is also given a new design approach.
Now, if the new Altima will look similar with the concept, it could very well pose a great challenge in the midsize sedan segment. With the aggressive exterior and high-tech, straightforward interior, the Vmotion 2.0 concept looks very promising. We do hope that Nissan gives this concept a greenlight.
